Reference lidar profiles are from quality approved NDACC* (Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change) member stations. NDACC controls the quality of the contributing instruments by standard operation procedures, instrument and algorithm comparisons. Currently 9 lidar instruments are operating globally.
